Esther Rosales

Hola! Welcome to my virtual home — here’s a little bit about me.

I was born in Durango, Mexico, and grew up in San Pedro, California. I was raised by hardworking immigrant parents who created a loving home, and even with limited resources, I feel infinitely blessed by the strong values and morals Mr. & Mrs. Rosales instilled in me.

As the eldest of eight siblings and the first of 23 grandchildren, I’ve had the chance to experience a lot of life’s “firsts”: the first to study abroad in high school, the first to move away for college, the first to earn a master’s degree, the first to live alone in a foreign country — so many unforgettable milestones.

But like most people, my journey hasn’t been without difficulty. I reached a point where I had to make a life-changing decision — one that truly shaped who I am today. I’ve experienced my share of heartbreak, fear, anger, and also joy, deep love, and overwhelming gratitude. These experiences have taught me that I am resilient, strong, sometimes a little feisty — and definitely a fighter.

I’m passionate about the work I do and the people in my life. I try to live each day with compassion, a grateful heart, and a deep respect for everyone I cross paths with.
